5 Essential Quality Control Checks for Your China Factory Orders
Quality control is the single most important factor in successful international sourcing. Without proper QC protocols, even the best product designs can result in disappointing outcomes.
Why QC Matters More Than Price
Many SMEs focus primarily on unit price when selecting suppliers. While cost is important, a defective shipment can erase any savings through returns, delays, and lost customer trust.
1. Raw Material Verification
Before production begins, verify that the factory is using the specified materials. This is especially critical for products with safety certifications like food containers, children’s toys, or electronics.
2. During Production (DUPRO) Inspection
A mid-production inspection catches issues when they’re still fixable. Our inspectors visit factories unannounced to check that production is on track and quality standards are being maintained.
3. Pre-Shipment Inspection
This is the most common QC checkpoint. A random sample of finished goods is inspected against AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) standards covering appearance, function, dimensions, and packaging.
4. Packaging & Labeling Check
Incorrect labeling is one of the most common issues in international shipping. Barcodes, HS codes, country of origin markings, and handling instructions must all be verified.
5. Container Loading Supervision
Even if the products are perfect, poor loading can lead to damage during transit. Our team supervises container loading to ensure proper weight distribution, dunnage, and securing.
Implementing these five QC checkpoints can reduce defective shipments by over 90%. Contact Halo Impex to learn about our comprehensive QC programs.
